Helping Good High Schools Become Great

Research has consistently shown that the two most important school-based factors affecting a child’s academic success are the classroom teacher and the school principal.  Among all the factors in determining winners for the second round of the Race to the Top grant program the largest amount of points are devoted to the Great Teachers and Leaders section.
